Although bone china belongs to the category of soft porcelain, its own hardness is not low. It is a relatively high-strength porcelain in traditional ceramics. Its bending strength is 120-160MPa, which is 30% higher than that of ordinary traditional ceramics 80-120MPa. -50%.
Bone China Cup Feature 2: Thermal Stability
Due to the long columnar shape of the main crystal phase of the bone china cup, it has a high expansion coefficient and a large anisotropy, so the thermal stability of the traditional bone china is poor, generally around 160°C (that is, from 160-20°C Heat exchange in water once without bursting). Although some experts use methods such as zirconia toughening to improve the thermal stability of bone china, but the products on the domestic market do not apply this technology well, and most products have poor thermal stability.

Bone china uses fritted glaze, which is fired at a lower temperature (1050-1150°C), so the hardness of the glaze surface is lower than that of ordinary ceramics, and the hardness is generally 550-600MPa.
