Bone china manufacturers tell you the grades of bone china | Win-Win

November 02, 2022

Someone once asked the bone china manufacturer a question of win-win ceramics, what is the grade of bone china, and what is the grade of bone china. Today, the bone china manufacturer will tell you the grade of bone china.

When I see the first-class products written by the merchants, I don't know whether it is good or bad. . .

Supplementary question: I would like to ask whether the bone china is classified into first-class or second-class, which is better?

The so-called bone china was invented by the British in 1794. It is named after the ashes of cattle, sheep and other herbivorous animals (preferably cattle bone meal) are added to its clay, and it is an environmentally friendly green consumer product.

The formation of bone china mainly depends on silicon oxide, aluminum oxide and calcium oxide. The higher the content of calcium oxide, the better the color. In nature, there are not many sources of calcium oxide, so animal bone meal is selected as the source of calcium oxide.

The color of bone china is a natural milky white unique to natural bone meal. Generally speaking, the porcelain with 25% bone meal in the raw material can be called bone china. The internationally recognized bone meal content is higher than 40%, and the bone china with the best texture generally contains 51% high-quality beef bone meal. Among them, the bone meal composition is more than 40%, and the color of the utensils is more milky white, which is a high-grade bone china. In my country, only a few manufacturers in Tangshan, Zibo and other places produce and export.

After grouting, molding embryo pressing, plaster mold dehydration, as well as initial firing, glazing firing, decal firing and other processes, and firing at high temperature, it becomes porcelain with high whiteness, high transparency and fine porcelain. During the firing process of bone china, it has extremely high requirements on its regularity, whiteness, transparency, thermal stability and other physical and chemical indicators, so the rejection rate is very high. Due to the exquisite materials, fine production and strict standards, the value is higher than other porcelain types. The unique firing process and the addition of bone carbon make the impurities in the china clay eliminated, and the bone china looks whiter, finer, more transparent, lighter, less blemish, and thinner than ordinary china. The sense and strength are higher than that of ordinary porcelain, and it is twice that of daily porcelain. The higher the content of bone meal, the lower the clay composition, the easier it is to burn and crack during the production process. It requires higher technology in forming, which increases the difficulty of firing, so it is more precious.
