What is the situation of sticky scars and lack of glaze in ceramic water cups and what are the reasons for them? Today, the editor of Win-Win Ceramics will discuss with you
Sticky scars:
There are several types of sticky scars:
1. Wipe the sticky scar on the foot: Refers to the defect caused by not cleaning the glaze when the foot is fired, and the foot is bonded to the pancake after firing.
2. Burnt sticky scars: The finished product is burned, causing defects caused by the bonding of the edge of the foot and the pancake.
3. Cake sticking scar: The finished product is not overfired during firing, but due to impurities on the cake, or less aluminum powder coated on the cake, after firing, the edge of the bottom foot of the finished product is bonded to the cake.
Note: The height of the bowl does not meet the specifications, or because there is too little ash on the cake and the cake is dismounted, causing the cake to partially stick to the bowl (commonly known as sticky bowl), which is responsible for the cake.
lack of glaze:
Note: Defects such as full strings, uneven wax, and urn gas in the analysis of finished porcelain are all treated as lack of glaze.
1. Full string with glaze (commonly known as golden edge): when dipping glaze, the glaze is not stained to the edge, resulting in the defect of no glaze outside the mouth of the finished product.
2. Uneven wax: If the wax stuck to the foot of the product after digging is uneven, it will cause partial lack of glaze around the foot of the finished product.
3. Urn gas: generally at the bottom, this is because when dipping the glaze, the lower billet is too flat (improper operation), and the air is not exhausted, resulting in a part of the bottom without glaze, which is in the shape of a circle.
4. Pressed glaze: Most of the local lack of glaze (like cracks) occurs between cups, pots, the mouth and the body, and the edges and corners of the feet of other products.
5. There is no glaze on the inside of the spout, resulting in a lack of glaze in the spout.
6. Water-drawing and lack of glaze: when drawing water, water is accidentally filled into the green body, resulting in lack of glaze.
7. The lack of glaze in the glaze: when the glaze is shaken on the cup and pot products, the ball is lightly stepped on, so that the inner glaze of the product is not full, resulting in partial lack of glaze.
8. The lack of glaze when taking the glaze: accidentally knocking off the glaze on the product with your fingers during the same blank, or taking the foot too hard, resulting in partial lack of glaze around the bottom foot.
9. Wipe the feet and lack of glaze: after dipping the glaze, before the billet dries on the sponge, take it to the belt. Therefore, the glaze is accumulated around the bottom feet. When wiping the billet or wiping the feet too hard, it will cause local lack of glaze .
